A strenuous 11 mile walk to the summit of Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain. The walk goes via Styhead and the Corridor Route to reach Lingmell col and avoids many of the crowds than the tourist route, which is used for the descent.
The route sets out from the small hamlet of Seathwaite in the Lake District's Borrowdale Valley, and heads over Stockley Bridge above Seathwaite then takes a fairly straightforward ascent up Grains Gill to reach Esk Hause.
