An 4.7 mile circular family walk arond Chawton Park Woods.  Free parking can be found at the football fields by the start of the walk.

An easy, slightly uphill trail leads to the edge of the woodland and then follows it for approximately 2 miles past a grass track racing circuit, a loggging camp and varios side trails trhough the woodland that can be explored if time allows.

There are also a large number of old 'craters, from the days of brick making.  Great for the children to make camps in.

The footpath can be followed right down to the corner of the estate at Four Marks but we turned off early, followed a secondary track downhill and rejoined the return route at the bottom.

This part of the walk is more pleasant, following a sweeping fire track down to Chawton Park Farm.  Looking to the left, you'll see hundreds of deer that are bred for venison.

The top track can get very muddy after rain/logging.
